Who
Singers or singer/pianist teams will prepare songs and coach music and language with Arlene Shrut. The culminating performance can be performed by the singers in collaboration with Arlene or with their pianist partners.
Performer Selection
By nomination or by competition.
Formats
Variable by the institution as to number of performers who will perform the 46 song set (or excerpts).
Example: At Peabody Conservatory, where this project debuted, over 30 singers competed, 16 were chosen, each singer offered 2 or 3 songs, and 36 of the 46 songs were performed. See program.
Voice types
Original keys are for soprano and high baritone. Doeblinger edition is for Middle Voice.
